Bookstore Store Policy

1. Return & Exchange Policy
Eligibility Period: Customers may return or exchange books within 14 days of the purchase date for a full refund or store credit, provided they have the original receipt.
Condition of Items: Returned items must be in their original condition (unread, undamaged, and free of markings). Books sold in sealed packaging must remain unopened.
Non-Returnable Items: Sale or clearance items, gift cards, and special-order or custom-ordered items (e.g., print-on-demand) are non-returnable.
Exchanges: If you wish to exchange a book for a different title or edition, the difference in price (if any) will be charged or refunded accordingly.
2. Damaged or Defective Items
Inspection: Please inspect your purchase promptly. If you receive a damaged or defective book, contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
Replacement: We will replace the damaged/defective item at no additional cost or provide a refund/store credit if a replacement is unavailable.
3. Special Orders & Preorders
Deposits: A deposit may be required for special orders or preordered titles. This deposit is generally non-refundable if you cancel after the order is placed.
Pickup Window: Please pick up special orders within 14 days of notification. Unclaimed items may be returned to inventory or shipped back to the publisher.
4. Payment Methods
Accepted Forms: We accept cash, major credit cards, debit cards, and bookstore gift cards.
Online Payment: For online purchases, we accept major credit cards and recognized online payment platforms.
Refund Method: Refunds are issued in the same form of payment originally used (unless otherwise noted).
5. Pricing & Promotions
Price Adjustments: We strive for accurate pricing, but if an error is discovered, we reserve the right to correct it and cancel or refuse an order if necessary.
Promotions & Discounts: Any promotional or discounted pricing cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
Price Matching: We typically do not offer price matching with online retailers, although we may choose to honor a competitor’s promotion at our discretion.
6. Gift Cards
Purchasing Gift Cards: Gift cards can be purchased in-store or online (if available).
Redemption & Expiration: Gift cards are redeemable only at our bookstore location(s) or online store. They do not expire and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
7. In-Store Conduct & Safety
Respectful Environment: We ask all visitors to be respectful to staff and other customers. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Health & Safety: We may require compliance with current health guidelines (e.g., wearing masks or following social-distancing protocols) if mandated by local authorities.
8. Personal Data & Privacy
Information Collected: We collect personal information (e.g., name, phone number, email) only for relevant business purposes—such as completing a transaction or signing up for newsletters.
Data Protection: We do not share or sell personal data to third parties, except as required by law or to complete an order (e.g., shipping providers).
Marketing Opt-Out: Customers can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time.
9. Changes to the Policy
Revisions: We reserve the right to update or modify this Store Policy at any time. Changes will be posted in-store and on our official website, and will go into effect immediately upon posting.
